I tried the I/O Volare last weekend. I tried it for a very short time. I was really interested to hear how it compares to the Ra. Two areas where I think Ra does better for me are the bass region and the musicality. Ra's bass is incredible. Volare's bass does not come close. Ra has some extra warm mids, the mids are more transparent, more forward, and have a great balance of warmth and transparency. The treble region is smoother on Ra; in comparison, I found the Volare a bit dry (not too much). The soundstage is wider on the Volare, while the depth is nearly the same. The level of technicality is mostly similar. Overall, for my preference, I find the Ra to be more musical. For some, the Volare could be equally good.

Wonder how does Ra sounds when compared to Sound Rhyme dte900 which has the same specs 🤔
Had the DTE900 and was not fan of it, but fellow IEMs aficionados love it. I found the bass very-well implemented and greatly textured. More sub bass than midbass. The mids/uppermids section was not to my taste, though. Mids were too recessed and the upper frequencies a bit too brilliant.

The RA fits my bill all across the frequencies range. Especially the mids stand out for a V-shaped tuned set. I would say that the RA is a warmer/mellower and a bit darker version of the DTE900.

Pick your poison.

Sound exactly how I like it actually! Im considering to sell dte900 and maybe get a custom shell Ra. Dte900 is fantastic iem and for me its the comfort that is the biggest disadvantage, but I totally see what you mean by your gripes with it. Its on the verge of being to much for me, definitely not the iem i want to use to relax after long day.

Resin shell ej07m sounds more how you describe Rå, just without pronounced bass, even though its much more present than in the standard metal version :)

Dte900 is not extremely energetic but more so than my Penon 10th anniversary and even more so than ej07m:)

yeah. i told him to to put the best good-looking shell and my name on it, with my custom font style. it is like Anni Version 2.0 with Better Subbass, sweet mid, and smooth treble . technical is on TOTL iem around 3k for level of resolving with wide soundstage, extremely good separation and easy to pin point the instruments.

another pair for my wife haha <3

Excited by the Omega talk, my unit is shipped next friday. Going to do a full review on it, as I bought it with discount.

Latest tribrid IEM I used also had full Sonion BA and EST, Penon Voltage. Loved the sound of it and how coherent it was tuned, only lacked extension both ends. And this seem much better on Omega.

The OMEGA is the very best IEM for Acoustic and vocals and that is what I have about 75% of my time in my head. For the very best details I would go with the Elysian Annihilator or the "MuxicBox Steranko Platinum Edition" 1/15 made, though the Steranko is much more musical than the Annihilator. The Omega is my most used and fav, the MuxicBox is my #2 and for pure enjoyment and fun I love my the Oriolus Szalayi! The Szalayi is the RA taken to the next next level.

Isn’t the Szalayi too bassy? I love the bass on Ra as it doesn’t overwhelm me and I can enjoy for longer hours. How is the midrange on the Szalayi compared to Ra?

I think that the Szalayi is a very close brother to the RA but the $300 buys you a cleaner mids and upper while the bass is almost the same. They are both great but if you can swing the price, its just better. (but its 10% better at 50% price hike)
