Hey guys, just a heads-up, there is likely fake N5005 on eBay now. I bought one unopened and new. Turns out the engraved serial number is 00000. And there is typo on the back of the package. Where "supreme" was print as "superme".

I hope you have reached out to ebay to resolve this, but also a mini PSA, if you ever find fakes report it to the real company too. They usually are making efforts to find fakes and work with local governments to shut down companies that are manufacturing fake goods.

Oddly, I looked at my box of legit N5005's and it says "superme" on the back of the box as well. I'm pretty darn sure they aren't fake. Note that mine do have a serial number on the tag . Seems like a difficult item to fake, with all of the high quality accessories and packaging... ???

I've seen a few reviews where the pictures show serial number 00000. Maybe you got a set that was sent to a reviewer.

Will have to remember to check my packaging, I do have a legit serial number and also note that mine was a brand new from AKG/Harman themselves (bought first pair from RazorDog on eBay used, the housing broke and Harman replaced with a brand new set for free)

I need your opinion. Curently i use AKG K3003i with the CHord MojoPoly. DO you think i get more improovement replacing k3003 to n5005, o Mojopoly replacing with hugo2? I dont know what potential k3003 still has.. Has some of you owned k3003 and now n5005/n40?

the Chord should be more than capable for any headphone, correct? The k3003 is one of my absolute favorite IEMs but since getting the 5005 and using the mid high boost filters I have not had strong desires to return to the 3003. The 5005s with the mid high boost still have the presence and brilliance of the 3003s except the low end is much more full and just feels right. upgrading to the 5005s is no small amount and I still love the 3003s. hearing them is probably the best way to know if they are for you.

Can you confirm that 5005 filter screw diameter is the same as k3003? I mean that i can order from akg just a midhight boost filter from 5005 and put it to k3003. Does it look the same?

I can confirm the filters are interchangeable. No promises on the sound though. I doubt the 5005s filters were made with the 3003 in mind.

I find it quite easy to drive actually Using AMP9 with only 2.5Vrms
