So this is what the k3003 thread has come to? Hearing loss. Sometimes it becomes impossible to enjoy and post about certain earphones around here. Unsubscribed.

I may be buying a pair of AKG K812 for home use and wondering which earphones to buy for when I'm out and about. I have never heard any AKG in ears, but I figure that their signature is likely to be somewhat relative to their on ear headphones. I was therefore looking at the AKG N40 but have wondered how much better the K3003i might be. But then, looking at the specs, it seems that the K3003i will probably not sound anywhere near their best just pluggged straight into a DAP.

So I'm wondering if anyone may heve heard both and can offer some advice on how they compare?

I use mine on an Fiio M15/Hiby R3 and they sound excellent.
