Sure as locking mechanism on mini-xlr plug. Same as on K271S, K702 and I believe on all other AKG phones with detachable cords.

The locking mechanism could be the same,but on the spec sheets it states clearly that its a 1/8 inch dual entry input.

I placed an order a couple of weeks ago when they indicated "in stock" and was informed that they would not be getting them until mid-January. So I got the K167. I'm glad I did. It's superb!

All we know is that it looks exactly like the mini xlr. It could turn out to be 3.5mm, although I don't believe so.
