I received my 3 + 1 but the high frequency driver seems to be broken.
They roll off sharply at about 7khz.

Could just be a case of hype; would be unlikely for both sides to be broken on the same drivers.. I do have a pair coming as well so that would be unfortunate.

No I avoid using EQ, looks like a pretty drastic piece of EQ you're using.

All good, I am used to taking the fall while testing hypes -- if no one takes the fall, no one will ever know the sound is actually bad

No I avoid using EQ, looks like a pretty drastic piece of EQ you're using.

What about the MMCX connection and the fitting? Rightfully it need not to be EQed if the tuning is alright, especially when in the initial stage of testing it.
You tried different genres of music and it sounded the same?

Player DAP would be tell the sound difference as well.

Same tips, same cable, same dap, same tracks, same everything.
Tested against something with decent treble extension and the results were
very sharp roll off. Makes them sound very dark.
