Sound wise, AirPod Max via bluetooth sounds great with AppleTV4K, as it uses their Dolby Spatial features. However, it is not comfortable after 10 minutes. It's clampy and the "Closed Back" style fatigues my ears with air pressure effects.
I went out and bought the most comfortable headphone on the market, the HD800s. It's lightweight, not clampy and "Open Back" for less ear pressure effect.
My Dac/Amp has Bluetooth 5.0, to connect the HD800s to the AppleTV4K. Unfortunately the sound is not as immersive as the AirPod Max, as HD800s cannot pickup the Apple Dolby Atmos. However, the HD800s sound is good enough to enjoy it, and the extra comfort is worth it.
