You guys are making it really brutal not to get these W3000...but I've got my eye on a Signature Pro, too!

And if the W3000ANVs match up with the LF, it might get even more "brutal".

Come Friday I think I'm going to either buy a W3000 or Signature Pro...

If they pair well with the LF it'll be really hard to say no to the W3000, but the Signature Pro meets my needs a little better, me thinks...

EDIT: You'd better have impressions for me by then. :D

You just just get both and make it easier on yourself.

I could...but that would seriously cut into my time frame for my 2ch rig and TT.

FWIW, I preferred the Ed. 8 over the Signature Pro by a reasonable margin. But between the W3000 and Ed.8, I prefer the Audio Technica.

That's a bold statement...but RMC is selling the Sig Pro for 850 right now. Would that tip the table to the Pro?

If I were getting an Ed 8 I'd just get the TH900.

Can't one get the W3000ANV for $999 ish? I personally would take the ATs.

Yes. Options are 850 Sig Pro which gives me a portable and a good closed can. 1000 W3000 which gives me a great closed can but wings arent portable...at all.

Basically...do I want a portable more or just a better closed can?

I guess you'll have to answer that. The W3000s are not portable headphones.

Can anyone give me an amp suggestion for the w3000anv in the $500-1000 price range? I'm getting it soon, but can't really find anything about amping and stuff.

I would check out this thread. Don't just go in and ask about amping. Read some of the more recent pages. There's been a ton of amp talk lately.

I've read the thread, but still I'd like to hear some personal advice.

By the way I'm thinking about Woo Audio WA6, or even a Schiit Asgard, but since I don't have any experience with them, I think I'd better ask.

I would consider in the mix the Violectric V200 too. I have it and does a great job.
