Aesthetic Phones?

To the OP: Keep in mind that headphones are meant to be worn on human heads. Some headphones, like the HD800's, are very beautiful when seen on a stand. But it's impressive in the same way that say, a spaceship would be impressive. Just because it looks nice viewed on display doesn't mean it'll look good on your head.

With that said, here's another one of the most gorgeous headphones ever made, the Grado Sr325:

I always did liike those. I think they should have kept the gold color on the 325.

Imo both the Stax SR-007BL and AKG K1000 are aesthetically pleasing and sounds great.
You can't ask for much more...

Yeah, looks is subjective. Just like sound quality is subjective...
Still its discussed a lot around here.

Yeah, I know. But as someone said here - one thing is how the phones look on your table as a well-made electronic device (or whatever...) and something completely different is good-looking enough that you wouldn't mind at all wearing it in public. Of course, some people just don't care and SQ should always be a priority, but good looks is certainly an advantage.

Btw. I think my HD280Pro look fine

I second the RS1, I love the look of those things. They look stupid when I wear them (like a number of headphones), but look great hanging on a stand. Also like the look of the Omega IIs and L3000s (it always seems to be the expensive ones

). The ATH-AD900s look great too.

To Op - Are you kidding me? There are a LOT of phones that look good and sound good as well. IMO pretty much all headphones look decent, and some which look better than others. But there are a few that look ugly. But in the end it all comes down to personal preference and taste.

Honestly, if I think about all the headphones that are meant to sound good, I think that they are all very aesthetically pleasing - some random ones are RS1, HD650, DT880, es7, esw9, D2000 etc etc, the list is endless.

ES7 is clearly best looks for the buck. Other than that, SR-007BL, Brown L3000, the Darths, AT woodies.
