Just received my w900 today from null audio. It's really bad finish product. The design is darker than the picture. Glue or something stick all around the shell.

And you can see how bad are 3 holes on both shell

Ouch... certainly not a pleasant experience to be at the receiving end. These are unsettling (finishing quality of the bore holes) and should be addressed.

My past dealing with Null Audio (cable) has been quite positive, they will sort it out.

Keep us posted and hope will set it right for you.

While these QC issues aren't big and don't affect the sound at all, you should expect near-perfection at $2800 USD.
I paid almost $1900 for this. I expect perfect finish unit. It's not $19 or $190 man. TOTL item with premium price should be perfect. My U12 or even my old Vega, K10 Encore came with no issues like these.

If you don't like it because of the QC I take it off you hand for you, hehehe j/k how long does it take from order to deliver?

It took 2 weeks from order to deliver. Before they said 8 weeks. But after I told them I wanted to cancel because the wait is too long for me, they reduced lead time to 2 weeks.
sounds like u made them rush the order... TBH, 8 weeks lead time is not too bad when u r looking at a custom made universal iem

Nah I didn't pay extra for rush order. I didn't wanna get a universal item with that lead time. With 8 weeks I better go with ciem. Well I didn't rush them. Here what they said
Hi Hung,
The current lead time for universal W900 is roughly 2 weeks. I think it is relatively very fast considering it is build to order.

As a Singaporean i am just ashamed to witness such a joke of a QC.

I am sorry to hear that you received such garbage Hung. No one should be on the receiving end of such a poorly finished product when they are using their hard earned dollars and cents ; be it if they paid 2k or even 200sgd!

I really hope AAW will resolve this for you till you're utmost satisfied !

While I'd totally agree that the bore finish is not one should expect from a flagship product, it seems like everything's mostly aesthetic in the end. The faceplates are still beautiful to look at and the overall shell quality looks clean.

Docking points for AAW's consistency in this case, but personally it's not really enough to warrant a return, is it? It was done in two weeks when they quoted eight. My W900 took about 8 weeks to craft and I was one of the first to place the order for it.

(Not defending them or anything, but criticism where criticism is due and credit where credit is due.)
