This will probably get no replies, but I want to know if there's anyone who's heard both of these headphones or perhaps has A/B'd them, which I'm sure very few have. This is more to help others than myself, as I couldn't find such a thread anywhere besides maybe 1 or 2 people actually comparing the AD900 and the 701s. (note: This is about the OPEN and REVISED AD900x, not the original AD900 or the closed A900 or A900x.)

This is also information I would like to know.  I currently own the Audio Technica AD900x's and was wondering how they compare to the AKG 7xx Series.  I would specifically like to know how they compare in terms of imaging.

I'm going to buy the AD900x in a month or two and A/B them with my friend's AKG K701s, comparing with both of our amps (he's got some tubes and I have the E9k and E10.) But I'd rather know how they compare sooner than later. The AD900x very well could be a K701 killer, losing to it maybe in analytical but winning in every other category i.e. flatness, warmth, naturalness, musicality (i know that's not a real category, but hell this is a music loving community). Please do post about it if you ever do compare the too some time.
