My current AD700 are about to die due to constant abuse by my kids. I am wondering what is suitable upgrade for about the same price?
 
I will not listen music on these so sound accuracy or any other audiophile quality are of no value. I just want something that gives awesome gun shots, explosions, etc.

The AD700 are pretty much nearly impossible to beat as far as gaming goes for that price range. This is due to the fact that their soundstage is ginormous. Finding a bassy headphone with soundstage as good as the AD700 at this price range is imo impossible, but maybe have a look at some of the ultrasones or maybe the Denon AH2000. The denon has decent soundstage, not as good as the AD700, but a lot more bass, though a little more expensive.
