Depends a lot on which headphones or earbuds you use.I am wondering how the sound signature of P1 is like. Is it tending to a warmer side with rich bass?
it launches next month, so by that time you will know, or you can test it out yourself...I am also wondering how the Equalizer of P1 performs. I am a long time user of Sony Walkman ZX series and their EQ I reckon is one of the best in the market. Hope that the EQ of P1 will be on par with the Walkman ZX series.
I am invited to join a listening session of P1 on this Sat, hosted by a local head-fi dealer, I will test it out by then.it launches next month, so by that time you will know, or you can test it out yourself...
Oh yes, please let us know! I am also into Sony Walkman ZX series and the form factor of the P1 is exactly what I was looking for so I hope you get some good vibes out of it...I am invited to join a listening session of P1 on this Sat, hosted by a local head-fi dealer, I will test it out by then.

Great pic, curious to hear your thoughts on it. Did you try the EQ and is it still as limited as A&Ks current offerings (especially Q-factor)? Given your flair, I'm also curious on any subjective impressions you have. Hopefully you were able to test it with headphones/iems you know wellPhoto being shared by a local head-fi KOL:

Yep, I will bring along my well known IEM there to test thoroughly, and see whether the EQ of P1 would work efficiently with my IEM. Hopefully it would result in something positive as I am a heavy EQ user. I use to have presets for different IEMs in my Walkman ZX707. In my memory when testing the AK SR35, its EQ did not have much effect on the sound tuning, I hope P1 would not be the same case as SR35.Great pic, curious to hear your thoughts on it. The navigation button could be tricky since you can only use one button for Play/Pause, next, back.Yep, I will bring along my well known IEM there to test thoroughly, and see whether the EQ of P1 would work efficiently with my IEM. I don't have any IEM equipped with 3.5mm plug (all of them are with 4.4mm balanced plug). As you recommend, I will bring the CFA Bonneville for the test. The output impedance for the 4.4mm is 2ohm, almost the same as 3.5mm.The navigation button could be tricky since you can only use one button for Play/Pause, next, back.
I see that you own some Campfire audio iems, which are known for their super sensitivity, would you mind to bring them along for a try? Since the output impedance for the 3.5mm is 1ohm, it should be a good pairing.
