You should see AJ and Adam in the studio and get them refitted, their customer service has been excellent, I'm sure they'll make it perfect for you. I have the smoke as well, and live them. I listen to them everyday, they are the best iem I've ever heard.

How is comfort between the two?
I find it hard to get that seal on the Left side, and after playing with it for a while, my ear gets sore. As I said, though, really sound great through Geek Out Special Edition.
Thought I'd try to post some pics of the smoke version,, but not great with the HTC One camera. Oh well, you should get some idea...

een the two?

The T1 is more neutral while the JH16's are more V shaped. Clearly more bass considering quad low drivers per side. I find they are a better choice for traveling as the extra bass is handy in loud conditions. In controlled listening it depends on the moment.Do I want neutral or some flavor. Both have their benefits.

How do they compare comfort wise?

I can wear either for hours. So I would say equal. There is a difference between Silicon and acrylic in feel, but once they are in it does not matter to me. YMMV.

Ok, I'll stick with smoke then. Seems to have good likeability ratings.

Sure, I figure that is what it will come to. To some extent, seeing if I can get better at inserting (I have gotten better, as I noted above, still doesn't resolve all the fit issues, though). While it's not too bad a trip to go to them for refitting (distance wise), Manhattan is a royal pain to deal with during the day. I live in New Jersey, work in Staten Island, Will require a drive in with traffic headaches, parking issues, and their hours and my work schedule don't leave much room for the scheduling. But, if I have to, I have to, if a few more days of playing with them don't get me with good fit/seal/comfort, I'll be arranging a follow up there.
As to the look-nobody commented, but did they stop putting their logo on all the T1's? Wondering if they just cheaped out as this was the sale version.
Thanks-Happy New Year again!

I think you have to request customization. I'm happy with mine. Nobody notices them which I'm fine with. I live in Long Island and empathize with you about getting in to the studio. But the guy who finishes the product is right there and can fiddle with them until they are perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to get refitted if my fit wasn't perfect. They can also probably give you some tips on getting a perfect seal

The only problem I have with mine is that most of my music became hard to listen to unless it's a great recording and high resolution track. But with the great recordings. Like Mercury living presence Bach cello suites dsd with Janos Starker. It really feels like being in the recording studio.

I hope you get into see them soon. I feel lucky to have them so close if there was ever an issue and that was one of the reasons I went with them.

What do you mean by "request customization"? Does that refer to more than fit? Do they do cosmetic things to it as well? No one mentioned any such option to me when I ordered, or when I went in for the fit/mold. I have to take a day to go in to Brooklyn to fight a stupid ticket (registration for the car, my wife had it, and I had just dropped her off when the cop wanted it. She came back with it but he wouldn't "undo" the ticket. Longer story, but that's enough for now)...if I have a morning hearing, may be a good day to set up at acs in the afternoon. It's not bad, I'd say, getting better at placing it, but it's still not quite right. Thanks for the input.

i would check with AJ, but my impression was that if you wanted engraving or logos imprinted on it , that this was something you could request, at the time of ordering.  I didn't because, I like the inconspicuous appearance of the smoke, and didn't want clear because, I didn't want to chance it eventually becoming discolored or yellowed.  I still have to look for the little blue or red dot, but AJ and Adam both assured me that it becomes second nature.

Does the clear become discoloured?? That is my concern also.

Hmmm, OK, didn't know I had to request engraving or logos, I'd expect there is a charge for them, and it really isn't that big a deal. Do find the red dot difficult to find, but if I keep looking I see it eventually. In the end, the main issue is fit and seal, which affects bass as we all know. How were the pictures? Not great, night pictures through the HTC One (and I don't take pictures through it too often, sure it could be done better). If anyone would like me to try again, can try tonight or tomorrow when I'm home.

They do look a bit yellow though. Do you carry them in a pouch or something similar? I'll probably just put them in my bag.

There has been no change in their color. I keep them in the pouch they arrived in when I am not using them.

Here is another shot. I think the yellow is a lighting problem.
