i thought thats what the revivo was for. does the revivo not fix those things?
well, listening to the evolve and the evoke demo versions sounded quite awful, although there were small instances where i was impressed, they weren't nearly as good as my current etymotics. i don't think they are really that bad in practice though, because i demoed them in my iphone with no dongle, and the dongle that they use in the london office is not really that good, meaning i wasn't hearing anything to its full potential. the emotions was just the one that was both exciting enough.
the main purpose of going for ACS was just that the silicone mould would offer the most optimal isolation. reading around, some people think there's a substantial difference between silicone and acrylic in this regard, others just think its a small difference, but for me i think even a small increase would be beneficial for me. the purpose of this IEM is just to have something in my ear whilst studying.
i decided ACS over custom art because of the fact that I could visit the london office if i did have any issues and right now it was about £200 cheaper than the harmony 8.2 which was the other thing i was considering. reading around, people were saying that the harmony was more analytical whereas the emotion more 'musical', and considering i already have an 'analytical' IEM in the etymotics (very pleased with them for the past year/2) i thought going with the emotion was just a no brainer.
im very excited for my first ciem
