Finally got to the end of this thread, lol
But judging from many of the comments and my own personal experience with ear impressions and fit, I may wish I had held back before ordering my CIEM from ACS.
I have always wanted to try CIEM or at least custom tips since my first IEM the Etymotics all those years ago but just never got around to it. Recently I heard of Snugs while contemplating IE800's. These were suggested by another member as they are notorious for fitting issues for many with the included tips. I decided to give these a try on my Shure SE535's, if these worked I would then pull the trigger on getting a pair of CIEM's.
When these arrived I had a fit issue with my left ear (that mutant 'Left Ear' seems to be a common thing) and the sound was terrible. Luckily Emma and the team from Snugs, were at HeadRoom in London last month and I was able to get a new scan of my left ear and discussed my issues (tip felt like it was in too far). 10 business days exactly, new full body tips arrived and worked how I had imagined, great seal, improved sound and bass, better than I had ever heard on my SE535's (stick with me I'm getting there). This is what I was expecting from a CIEM
Now common sense would have meant waiting to see what this experience was like with these tips before jumping in and ordering the Encore, but no, because only about 50M away at the same event, were the Custom cable stand. I listened to the universal Encore first via my own AK100/Mojo combo and I was impressed, very impressed, more impressed than my short auditioning of the UIEM JH range at the A&K stand. Then foolishly enough I tried the Evoke UIEM, I should not have bothered, I had been spoiled by the Encores.
I was indeed so impressed I had my impressions taken on the spot and relieved my wallet of £674 (10% show discount).
One of the reasons for choosing ACS and Custom cable were the fact they are UK based and having walked away leaving my impressions I believed the 10 business days turnaround would have been met or even surpassed, but alas that has not been the case, now approaching week 3.
I do hope I don't have any fit or build issues as I am not looking forward to any further delays here.

Glad that you like the ACS Encore. I would recommend the Questyle QP1R or Onkyo DP-X1 to pair with the Encore.
I also have the DP-X1 and I'm looking to pair these with the Encore especially with Linum Balanced Bax cable (once the price has gone down, shame in a way these IEM didn't use the MMC connector as I already have the Linum balanced for my SE535)
Seiun Pro X is on order, it plays ultra HD 4K , has an Android OS and an optical connection for an External Dac/Amp, of which I can recommend the Chord Mojo. It's not been built yet, it's due out in March
I seriously pondered on backing this player, but having pledged for the EchoBox and already owning the Mojo and having a spare mobile phone or two, couldn't justify it. It will be interesting to hear your opinions once you do have it in your possession.
