acrylic vs silicon housing for custom iem?

Thanks, this is interesting. it's smaller that i imagined. In fact each dd is encapsed inside an hardened acoustic chamber.
I was more on thinking about using the whole shell as a chamber. But indeed they use the better solution.

- I found nothing about drivers size.
- Are they exempt of driver flex ?

Those are 5mm drivers, 2 per side. Here's a quote from the Sensaphonics D2 intro press release a couple years back:
The sonic art behind the D2 is based on dual 5mm dynamic drivers operating in parallel to achieve the needed sensitivity. Using a time-aligned, crossover-free configuration, the drivers are encapsulated in a vented miniature capsule called the Dynamic Resonance Chamber, providing the proper acoustics to optimize the twin driver outputs into a wide-bore output port. The result is the world’s only custom-fit dual-driver dynamic IEM with soft silicone earpieces.
