I think most gear around 300 Ohm and beyond benefit greatly from amps (tube amps my fave) however, the ARM2 can drive the 600 for a while as good as any other un stacked DAP besides a Lotoo Paw gold and some new DAP's with changeable amps. The battery life would be an issue.

The HiFiman you mentioned the "i" series was built specifically to be driven easier than most other cans in their line-up/ I think so anyway. I drove them off of a Shozy + a month ago just fine.
Thanks, with a heavy metal listening, which would you recommend between hd600 and he400i for ar m2?

If you can EQ a little the 400i are faster and electric guitar with distortion pedals should come off better with the 400i IMO

hey dude, "highway to hell " heavy listen...great !!!!! in italian we would say "sticazzi!" and I see also it's 192/24...I have it "only" in 44,1/16

C is a voice in the settings called sampling rate, today I turn off this voice, I realized that audio quality has improved.
Perhaps you already knew it but it was a pleasant discovery for me.

Is that the "Upsample to highest rate" selection? I had that off too. No re sampling for me please. And no orange button :wink:
