These are the cans that are superior to the Senn HDs as far as midrange is concerned. IMO.

I never listened through the K501s or any ATs.

In that order?
The R10 are up on the STAX Omega II ?! wow

I'm still tempted to go back down that route and pick up another pair... that'd be pair number four lol

Excellent, I may be getting a set of these and I really appreciate nice mids.

Wow?
The R10 has nice mids, that's it.I'm listening at the moment through a HE 60.
That's
WOW.
Fullrange WOW.
IMO.To my ears.YMMV.
Honestly, I don't care that much for audio lingo and netiquette at the moment, I'd rather like to listen to the music.
Have a nice evening.

The hidden joke here is:
I'm listening through HugoFreire's headphones, and he himself still hasn't auditioned them and is relying on reviews and impressions.

Back to the cans.
I have 30 minutes until I have to go to sleep, and listening is so much fun.
I have two very satisfying rigs at my disposal these days.
I really hope you're having as much fun as me
though I doubt it.

Bose Triports, especially with the duct tape mod.

I totally forgot that I own the Baby O system at one point; therefore, the HE-60 gets my vote!

How do you forget that you owned a Baby O system? I can't conceive of that...

gpalmer,
Well, it was about 8 months ago and I regret selling it to Tom. The HE-60 is an amazing headphones but it wasn't sounding that good due to the Sennheiser amp. I actually enjoy the HD-650 w/ Zu and my SDS amp bettter. Again, the HV-70 is a bottleneck of the Baby O system, but still the HE-60 sounded darn fine in midband.
