I'm always skeptical about the opamp, chip or cap mods. Just looking at the credentials of the designers they must've tweaked the design for maximum synergy. I know there are better caps and newer opamp and chips that are technically better, but if it's sacrilegious to swap caps on a vintage Marantz unit, then the same logic might/should apply to the Entech IMHO.
I know this is an old thread but I have a question. I just bought a nice 203.2 and I would like to put a op amp socket in so I can roll some opamps. My question is which op amp should I purchase that would be compatible with the 203.2 and you guys feel is a sonic improvement over the stock chip?
