A bit "off the wall" - but ....

Reasoning - looking at the amp, the first thing I noticed was the three indentations on the volume pot, and of course the corona of lights around it.  The third obvious feature is the tube, basically crowning the amp.
 
So I googled "three stars, corona, crown"
 
And along with images - there is a wikipedia entry for the Australis - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corona_Australis
 
Amongst the commentary was discussion about the shape - which is said to resemble a horseshow or oval (much like the P2X).
 
It just seemed a natural fit.
