One channel just died. I used Lyra a lot during that time. Never drop it.
Maybe, I would have it for 2nd time.
Back to Jupiter, It has a good sound. Just miss some bass impact.
In one of the earlier posts someone had a link to another reviewer who had all 3 and had discussed that the Orion had some excellent capabilities. However I did not go to these as I felt that I may be getting some Shure 425 equivalents
I would need to try the Lyra first as these are single drivers with a material that is used but not that much so I was hesitant on spending on something that look experimental to me
Darveniza, not only bass but overall sound. Both are good. I also considered to buy Jupiter while having Lyra.
You may jump over to Lyra thread. There are many discussions on Lyra and Jupiter there.
My feeling is the same as Kurochin post#182 (I don't know how to make the link here).
I have mix feeling with bass on Jupiter.
Sometimes, I feel it is about right. Sometimes, I need it more. (maybe depending on my mood)

Bought a used ALO SXC 24 replacement cable for the Jupiter, no time to spend listening with it on my Jupes as I am swamped with work. Bought at a great price though....
Now, I have two sets of SXC 24 cables......becoming something of an ALO fanboy.
Just to check, Campfire uses same MMCX connectors as Shure, right? But original Westone cables will not fit, since they have same MMCX conenctor, but different plastic housing around it, right?
Have any question about our players? Just PM me or send me email.

Besides the stock ALO cables for my Orion and Jupiter, I have a several sets of Trinity Audio MMCX cables and a Linum BAX MMCX cable and all fit the Campfires just fine.
After spending a lot of listening time back and forth between my Jupiter and Orion, I find that I am preferring the Orion for the majority of my listening due to the clarity of the vocals and imaging accuracy. I might just decide to keep it and try a Lyra in place of the Jupiter. Although the Orion doesn't have the overall warmth I hear in the Jupiter, I is interesting that it goes about as low in the bass as the Jupiter when testing with single sinewaves from 50khz down to 20khz.
The Orion has better clarity and tonal purity than the R2Pro, but the Pro wins on bass extension. For jazz, acoustic, and vocal genre's, I prefer the Orion. For bass-heavy genre's, the Pro would be my choice. In comparison, I prefer the Jupiter over my R2Pro for all genre's. It has a far more holographic presentation with superior instrumental and vocal timbre.
For individuals with very small ears, the R2 might be a better choice. The downside of the R2's is the rather fragile cable and the high cost to replace the cable/driver assembly.
I have also noticed some treble spikes in both the R2A and R2Pro. This can be somewhat addressed by the choice of tips.
Both the Jupiter and Orion are far easier to drive than is the R2Pro and perform very well directly from a smartphone.
These are my personal impressions and as always, YMMV!
