A free parametric equalizer for Windows Vista, 7, and 8 that doesn't need ASIO or VST, it works inline at the OS level

Did this fix problem what Kodhifi was talking about? I would like to try this with my Fiio E10.

As the config.txt writing/reading is realtime operation when operated through GUI, there will always be some pops involved. It's possible to minimize this issue by adjusting the delay time between file wites suitable for your system. IIRC, EqualizerAPO read delay is 100ms but, if you set the write delay equally in GUI software, you get pops (try values 150-250ms).

BTW, I released another GUI software lately ... fPEQGUI-10MC.

P.S. This reply box component is a piece of **** (who ever designed it shold be fired).

I don't know then was Kodhifi exaggerating or what

No exxageration. I had DT990 into FiiO E9 driven by Audioengine D1 DAC and at 1/2 windows volume and 1/4 E9 volume I nearly went deaf the first time it happened. It's not a click, it's more like turning a guitar amplifier up really high, and then plugging the guitar cable in. A momentary THUNK that the whole neighborhood hears.

I haven't tried the new GUI yet so it may be fixed.

Short version: It was loud and I wasn't exaggerating.

Audible issues are partly fixed. I did add a file write delay control but as the EqAPO reads the config.txt file every 100ms (if file change flag is set) something needs to be done there as well (to get these two software to work better in sync - if that ever is possible (because of communicating through file operation)). I did a feature reguest for the EqAPO developer regarding a new parameter for to control the reading interval of config.txt (I believe this could help the way as did the writing delay).

Note:
The EQ31GUI-2 updates (min) 31 filters (ATM max is 62 + 4 + 2). PEQGUI-10MC and fPEQGUI-10MC updates "only" (min) 10 filters (ATM max is 10 + 4 + 2 ) at a time so the issue wasn't/isn't that bad with these parametric EQ GUIs. By adjusting the write delay time long enough the popping issue can be minimized.

Fantastic app and a fantastic GUI @jiiteepee (kiitos

). I've been looking for something like this forever! I did some configuring today and made a setup that allows me to switch between profiles from the desktop with one click. At the moment I only have 4 very basic profiles for proof of concept, but it works like a charm. If anyone is interested I can make a more in depth description of what is shown in the pictures below.

I installed APO Equalizer and enabled it for all my devices except my TV-hdmi out. I installed the fPEQGUI-10MC_020 GUI and made 3 simple profiles with it. On my desktop I added a docklet with links to a few cmd-files that toggle between the different profiles (one click). The profiles I have at the moment is Bass, Powerful, Neutral and the last link is to the output profile created by fPEQGUI-10MC_020 GUI.

I found something that I think is using Equalizer APO as a backend, it uses the same device installer(configurator.exe).

I've been using it for a while now and it's pretty decent. Any thoughts?

Need some feedback on simple bass boost settings. The bass sounds pretty good, but I guess there is a science to this stuff so any recommendations is most welcome:
