I replaced them, takes about 10 minutes. BOTH pairs? Wanna sell one?

Yeah, replace them... I posted some pics on how to do it really professionally with hair elastics... all it takes is a small file, some crazy glue and patience. The images are here: http://home.cogeco.ca/~philodox/K340/new/

thanks for the howtoo on the elastic replacement. i can now continue my goal of exactly coppying phildox's system. i think the cats may have something to do with it, and im alergic.

and, no, i ahve no interest in selling my k-340's i made that mistake with my 1 pair of k-1000's... besides, one is the "low-bass, and 1 is the high(er) bass.

I finally got to tweak these things to right about where I want them. I replaced the Mogami with Cardas 4x24, and it tamed the bass just enough. Top it off with Vampire Wire male XLR's... heaven!

Thanks a lot for the thread and pics!!! Can't wait for my K340's to come!!

How is the difference before/after the screen mod? I plan on completely removing the plastic screen, and glue some speaker fabric on the back of the earpads to cover the eletrodes. But would things get loose without the screen holding them?
