AÜR AUDIO IEMs

Love that picture!

I miss UAPP... In my DX170 it works terrible, and I had to change it for Neutron.
Thanks man. Yep, UAPP is a great little application.

Starting to see the value of the NP (switch on) with ambient and electronic collection. With the stage height, excellent clarity and atmospheric bass, the NP really excels.

Three trippy tracks for you those that want to 'switch on':

And this one, made with field recordings from a cave in Borneo...

And a bit of D&B:

Maybe I'll be the first to test the Neon Pro with metal and progressive...
I haven't seen anyone around here commenting on those genres.

It's perfect with it, 1/3 of my time goes to metal genres. Amount of detail and speed does metal justice, also prefer it with bass switch on for a more full on sound.
😁

I've been testing it with my Tool discography and it pretty much nails it.

If I was being picky I would look for slightly more impact on the drums but a DD decay might smear some of Danny Careys technical playing and I can't be having that...!

Haha, I have a part in my review talking about NP doing Danny's drums justice 👌💪

Well I have some IEMs with DD bass and I don't think they smear Danny's drum performance.
I hope with the bass switch on Neon Pro will have enough impact on the battery for my liking (I haven't found a full-BA IEM yet that does)

Well, I hope it turns out sufficient for your tastes. DD bass has its pros and cons. The NP has some lightning fast transients that would be very difficult to recreate with a DD and that really makes things more exciting for me. It keeps up with metal better than most of my DDs, especially Tool that plays with layering, imaging and complex rhythms that benefit from definition.

I think I'm going to drop head-fi, at least until I have my NP in my possession...

Hello. I finally got the long-awaited Aure delivered today, and I'm very happy to report that the long wait is not in vain.

A green tinted clear shell holds 1DD and 6BAs on each sides.

The fit was quite good for its somewhat large shell size. The DD needs quite some space in the shell, I guess.

I preferred other silicone tips like JVC Spiral Dot Pro or AZLA Crystal tips than the stock tips. The stock tips seemed to build up some pressure in my ear canals.

I've done a quick comparison of Aure with UM Multiverse Mentor and Thieaudio Monarch MK2, which I consider them a kind of all-rounding IEMs.

Basically, Aure has a W-shaped sound, with an emphasis on the vocal region. Vocals feel very natural, engaging and I think that it is stand-out point of Aure.

Bass is quite powerful, deep, and sounds like how a DD would sound. Bass is stronger and more impactful than Monarch MK2.

Aure has very good details, resolution and pretty good extension in the trebles without any noticable sibilance.

But of course, due to the difference in the number of drivers and EST/BCD not being used in Aure, airyness, extension in the ultra high frequencies, fine little details, dense mids/texture are inferior to a TOTL IEM like UM MM, but the tuning of Aure is really done well IMO.

I think Aure is an all-rounder that can handle almost everything.

For its price range, Aure is a shockingly well-made IEM.

It is a pity that it was discontinued due to issues with the quality of the DD components.

Could you do a direct comparison between the Aure and the mk2

Could you do a direct comparison between the Aure and the mk2
Resolution : Aure = MK2
Soundstage : Aure > MK2
Vocals: Aure >> MK2
Subbass : Aure > MK2
Bass : Aure > MK2
Mids: Aure >= MK2
Highs: Aure = MK2
Ultra highs: Aure << MK2

My preference: Aure

Thanks for the impressions, I am so very much looking forward to my Aure now. We few who get it can treasure it.

Todays pairing on Neon Pro, NiceHCK BlackSoul cable pushing mids forward some. Also lessening the treble a very small amount, while keeping its resolution.
I haven't tested a cable I did not like on NP, happy I trusted the recommendation on this cheap cable.

Never buy NiceHCK cables without sale, the price can go as low as around $30 for this.
