The last couple of weeks I have been going on a 80’s vinyl buying spree!
Half of them are 12” 45 singles.
This is my new haul to date.
Any fans of this music out there?

Martha And The Muffins — EchoBeach

Visage — Fade To Grey

Paul Carrack — I Need You

Animal Nightlife — Love Is Just The Great Pretender

Fashion — Love Shadow

Real Life — Send Me An Angel

Lone Justice — Ways To Be Wicked

Talk Talk — Talk Talk

The The — This Is The Day

Heaven 17 — Let Me Go

Mental As Anything — If You Leave Me

Can't say I'm particularly a fan, but I admire your new sub-specialty. It's a good one.

Love that Visage-Fade to Grey and Talk Talk. Not many bands have a song with the same title as their name (except maybe Bad Co.)I think The Assembly's "Never Never" is still available out there in vinyl if that's to your liking.

Is your "Send Me An Angel" the Heart Land version or the 89 version?

I've got to hit the stores to pick up a few of these. I've been a fan of New Wave/alternative since, well, the 1980s. Are you feeling old, too?

Love or hate the music, I think this was something of a high water mark for the music industry. Back then, vinyl and CDs were produced well and this was well before the Loudness War began. It feels strange to say, but I think the music was from a simpler, more optimistic time, as well.

I agree with you about the simpler, optimistic part - though my experience may be coloured by the fact that I was in my twenties during the 80s.

Here are some more songs that I am still looking for:
Single 12” 45’s are my preference.
What’s nice about the 12” 45’s is the extended dance version of the same song on the other side!

Echo & The Bunneymen — The Cutter (Found)

The English Beat — Save It for Later

Joy Division — Love Will Tear Us Apart

Modern English — Melt With You

Nina — 99 luftballons

Psychedelic Furs — Love My Way

Soft Cell — Tainted Love

Squeeze — Black Coffee In Bed (Found)

Tears For Fears — I Know This Much Is True

Bad Manners — Samson & Delilah

Big Country — IN A BIG COUNTRY

Captain Sensible — Wot

Wide Boy Awake — Chicken Outlaw

I bought 'Teardrop Explodes - Wilder' just last week from iTunes. Teardrop Explodes is Julian Copes band before he went solo. Very good album and a must have for 80s music fans.

I used to have an Epiphone copy model of the Gibson ES 335 but I have big hands and found the neck a bit narrow for me. Epiphone is Gibson so pretty much the same thing, just cheaper to buy.

The 12" singles play at 45rpm?

I had plenty of 12" singles back in the day, and they all played at 33 1/3
