I just purchased one 2.5 balanced from amazon.

I can't wait to give it a listen.

I think think the big question is, do you guys have a better overall IEM? I listen to my Timeless and can't think of another set that I'd rather listen to. Between the resolution, impact, and tonality, I haven't heard another IEM that matches up. To me, the heavy 8-core graphene cable really supports a strong sound, and the Symbio tips bring out an amazing stage. I'm getting more satisfied with this combination the more I listen. It's not perfect, but it's really nice.

For me, yes, the Moondrop Blessing 2 Dusk is a better all rounder. More natural tuning, less bass particularly mid-bass and more restrained pinna gain. The Timeless is more V-shaped. It does what it does very well though, and is sparkly without being fatiguing.

Depending on genre I'd also prefer the Moondrop Variations, but I think I'd put both the Dusk and Timeless as better all rounders over it, the Variations has quite opinioned tuning with a very prominent sub-bass but then a huge drop with recessed mid-bass and lower mids. It uses a DD for the bass and has more bass weight than the Timeless. This works well to isolate the sub-bass and allows a big boost without any risk of muddiness or bleeding into the mids, but it also leads to a thinness in the mid-bass/lower mids that can make some genres sound a bit off.

The timeless is one of the few iems I can listen to at the computer without feeling the need to grab better cans.

I was going to compare the timeless to the sr003’s which are the same form factor. I don’t think it’s even fair considering the price. The Stax should trounce, it doesn’t, well, not totally. Stax are very resolving and decay wise win there as well. The timeless are still good in those areas no mistake. Where the timeless excel is bass and overall timbre. I go as far to say presentation is a shade of a full size Stax set. I’m presently using the 407s on a srm-mk1 energizer. I know its apples to oranges. A friend; sound engineer came for a listen; spent half a minute listening to the Stax and said “I’ll take em” . That speaks volumes. If you get a chance to audition Stax just do it. Be warned, it will ruin you.

it's a puzzle that on occasion when listening to the Timeless they sound great and occasionally only meh. I'll call that me. Mostly immersive when it's all about what I'm listening to...the music.

I can’t wait to go back to a portable setup for when I’m out and about. I have the Timeless running out of the headphone jack on a topping nx5 with bass boost (used like a loudness contour) and high gain. Source is an android with Neutron player. I plan to use a otg and get output from the phone into a portable dac/amp and run a 4.4 balanced.

I’d like to know if this change will scale up my setup, can’t imagine it won’t but wonder if there’s something I’ve overlooked.

After testing the Timeless with many different sources, I can say that they definitely scale up with better gear.

Also worth mentioninng that Apex Teton is high end amp with price of 5000$ and hd800 1500$ senheiser pre top headphones. Naturally that 200$ iems can't be compared, even mentioning at the same post are a little bit out of place.
I got them not very long time ago and can say that for my ears and from what i heard glowing reviews of timeless is less glowing than these iems actually are for their price. They are not end game for everyone and no one says that but for majority budget minded audiophiles they can be easily. Buying them is actually spending less because each $ you spent on them can be multiplied x2 or x3 for their actual sound. And with some other audiophile gear i bought actualy real value i got was like /2 /3 for their asking price. So one more new happy 7hz owner subjective thoughts. Now only left to find best source for them and ofcourse will try as many tips and cables to squeeze every bit of them.
Anybody paired the Timeless with a Chord Mojo?

Oh yeah, everything in my signature. Timeless are at the bottom.
Sometimes they can be the best on a certain recording, but overall they are at the bottom. Timeless are a specialist variety for me.

Yeah I see how Timeless will be a specialist for me too - they are wonderful for ambient music, absolutely ideal. I've still to test other genres but they just clicked with ambient immediately.

I concur, timeless is at the bottom of my stable but definitely a keeper. It’s wonderful for bad recordings as it is classical to jazz. It does have issues resolving in busy sections of tracks however…I’m waiting on my 8-core Graphene cable to arrive to see if this helps but generally in my experience a cable cannot fix a monitors inherit flaw. For example, the Isabellae single DD showed grain in busy sections of tracks and this never went away even paired with a $2500 cable. It smoothed out a little bit but was always present no matter what cable was used. So I wound up going back to the stock cable of Isa for the pure ergonomics.
I’ve journeyed long and far with cables and for me, I won’t go Uber expensive anymore. I will keep it under $500(honestly prob $300 unless I love the design, ergonomics etc) that is my limit as I’ve learned a lot from my cable rolling.

Edit: I will say at $200 I’ve found nothing to top timeless as it’s a bit unfair to compare them to kilobuck and up monitors.

Would the Fiio LC-RC do with Timeless?
