64 Audio | Solo - Single Planar-Magnetic UIEMs

based on the internal construction of models like Fourte, Trio, Duo, and Solo it's just not possible in their current configuration to build them with interchangeable apex modules
I hope your future models you can add the ability to change Apex as that would be a huge plus. I am sure it would have to be some sort of screw in module with seal much smaller in size because of the full Tia implementation which would be a pain to swap but I would take that any day vs having fixed Apex.

Is what people heard at CanJam the production version of Solo or are you going to tweak it some based on feedback?

Yes the Solo that was exhibited at CanJam was the production unit. This is what will be shipping

Has anyone had a chance to listen to Solo and can share their impressions?
Check out CanJam SoCal thread. There is at least one person that writes about it.

I want to give an update in the unlikely event you need to send in a 64 Audio IEM for repair. Their website states that it takes 3 weeks but they had mine for a week and just shipped today even with CanJam. They even upgraded my return shipping for free even though I own 2 other 64 sets! They use latest parts and SOP and make sure the IEM fits their specs sound wise after. Repairs have a warranty of 90 days!!! This is an awesome company to do business with so please take that into account when looking at the prices. Great service is not free. They will have me as a life-long customer without question. Looking forward to somehow demoing the Solo when it becomes available.

Nice review man!

Do you have the same isolation/fit issues with the 64 lineup in general?

I always find them very comfy and very isolating.
I didn't have any issues with the Solo either, just wanted to clarify it here in case the review made it seem otherwise. But in general all 64 Audio IEMs have been very comfortable to me and presented no fit issues even with the stock tips- I prefer the wider bore tips with all of these IEMs.

Sweet man. Wonderful review. I'm hoping to hear it soon.

I am not loving the fact that there seem to be zero reviews from the top pro reviewers on these. It's 64's first planar, that's a big deal. You'd think there would be reviews weeks ahead of the launch.
Whoever is in charge of product launches must have fallen asleep.

We haven't fallen asleep :) we're trying a different approach in giving reviewers room for their reviews to reach audiences without competing all in the same day. This UIEM was announced a few weeks ago and we've been purposefully letting things roll out in a much more organic fashion. Being inspired by John Darko's conversation with Srajan Ebaen about the product release trends in the industry we decided to try something new for Solo.
