So guys, it looks like the D2000s are becoming hard to get because of the backordering and such. 
 
So what would you guys reccomend besides the D2000s? Preferences again are, good deep bass, closed, fun and engaging/forwardish mids and highs, over ear, and a max of id say $300 now.
 
Preference importance are in the order listed.

Bump, figured id up it to 500$ but really thats all i care to spend. Any more and i dont think itll be worth the investment. Do you guys think the D5000s fit me perfectly?

D5000 is an upgrade from the D2ks. Theres some D7ks in the For-Sale section for $580 I think.

The only downside is again, i dont think i really need d7ks, and ive heard they have recessed mids compared to some.

Denon D5K... the wood just does something special for those cans.
 
Everything else is just a gorgeous sound without harsh highs, lovely warm yet detailed mids with a lot of upper midbass thump.
 
The headphones themselves lend to modding very well too.

Okay, i guess my only question now is do the D7000s have recessed mids? Or are they worth it over the d5000s? (i just found a pair new for 580$ so i just wanna check to make sure)

Im gunna go with d5000k, im not sure if id appreciate the d7000s for their value, and besides i plan on buying some grados sometime in the future as well.

Yeah, I would of said the 2k but you weren't intent on waiting and you dared to step up to the 5k so go ahead and get that. Since nobody answered your question about the mids, might as well not take the risk and get the 5k or try and grind on some research.
