I think I'll get the Hype 4 from there.. a bit worried about the low trustpilot score on hifi-passion the reviews seems a bit dodgy from the stores part.. not taking returns, not paying returns within 14 days of purchase and not responding + ending up with paypal handling refunds.. sounds not good.. I have ordered eartips there before but never returns handled

I would take from Amazon, its 10% more expensive, but 14 days return.. if it doesnt suits you its still better than selling it at used market for 70%.

I have returned the Cincotres to Linsoul already so I don't feel like doing that twice within short time that would be low-key rude imho.. They (Linsoul Audio-DE amazon) handled the return beyond expectation btw the money was in my bank less than 8 hrs after handing it over.

I hope it will suit my taste I'm Hype 4 owner now

Yes. I only believe they handle returns on amazon because they have to. Most audiophiles understand there is value lost when you take them in use - this is completely understandable imo, stores will have to take a lower price for it being opened and the thought of being used - then the accessories the eartips becomes a second point as well others wouldn't even use eartips others used and demand a new set.

Even if I would personally believe an IEM is easier to clean than over ear headphones with soaky pillows (earpads, yuck).

Agree! I'm also quite tempted to try both of those or the Davinci.. If I like the Hype 4 and don't find the bass too authoritative I could argue to have Davinci as backup as they are similar..

I often see TheHeadphoneShow get a lot of crap.. weird tastes at times maybe.. but I think he addressed a lot of the possible shortcomings with both the Davinci and the Hype 4. He both critisized the bass of the Davinci (which I thought was refreshing.. compared to how everyone preaches about Davinci bass) and he also addressed the treble peak of the Hype 4..

well the Hype 4 treble to me is excellent. This is all so subjective obviously.

Yeah and also people mention weird treble on the Davinci as well.. I hope I won't be disappointed, I saw one guy mention it as treble scaling forward with volume on Hype4, I hope its not too much..

Gosh!! I am so unlucky or all ThieAudio Hype 4 are affected by this incredibly stupid QC issue!

The Red (R) connector is loose straight out the box.. The holes are soft and smooth as butter and will likely disconnect even easier over time with wear.. Its a straight DOA out the box..

damn.. contact everyone you can.. they will replace iem or cable..now the question is: do you want to try it how they sound (hold the cable when playing) or not? maybe do it, so you know how they sound and you can return OR replace..

Maybe try other cables you have, if their connector is somehow a better fit?
