24: Season 5...The Best Yet?

I actually thought 2 was the weakest season of them all, by far. The entire plotline of Kim and Miguel was so weak and soap-opera-gone-horror-movie that it ruined the rest of the show, which was just Formula 24 anyway. And the guy who plays David Palmer is such a weak actor that getting rid of him was one of the best moves they made, just a few seasons too late.

Maybe season 6 will take place entirely in China with subtitles for us Americans who don't speak the language. It could be a double-storyline sitcom. The first would be a peacetime-CTU-meets-The-Office (Steve Carrell could be the new CTU chief), whereas Bauer would be an updated version of Solzhenitsen's Ivan Denisovich. Would put a refreshing new spin on things. Take the format in new directions, you know?

The Kim thing was pretty weak but I liked the nuke plotline as well as George Mason's character and the ongoing Nina Meyers thing.

Maybe when Jack is done with the Chinese they'll send him to Gitmo for interrogation
