Did this fix the noise issues you were encountering?
I think my main noise issue was from one of the 12j5 tubes; the socket housing is loose and needs to be fixed. The noise vanishes when I put force on one side of the glass. I went back to the toshiba 6sn7gt and so far the only noise is just from the 6336a heat expansion. Some transformer hum but it's not bad. I believe that everything just needs to settle a bit. Sounds fantastic and I have a new set of 6528's to roll this weekend.

I wanted to replace the IEC anyway because plugging in and out cords was very stiff. It's much better now with the furutech

Got a GE 6414 for testing as I thought it was a neat noval. Impressions are pretty good! More white noise in the background than a 6sn7 and not even close to the nearly silent 12j5. But sonically it's more resolved than the 6sn7's I've tried. Doesn't seem to be any weakness in the frequency response; really great articulation in the lower mids. I would choose this 6414 over spending heaps on rare 6sn7's as they aren't as engaging as this noval tube. It is picking up some kind of interference but it's also brand new. The background noise is extremely consistent and doesn't mix with the music so that makes for an easy listen!

Next up I should be getting a pair of tungosl 12j5's to hopefully round out this rolling saga. 6336a is my favorite power tube and I can't see myself leaving it!
