Any good way to add a Mic to the monks?

depends on how you're planning to use them with the Xbox One. If its using an interface that supports an external mic, consider adding an antlion mod mic. I have seen people even using that mic with the Havi B3 Pro 1 iem for gaming, and so it should hopefully fit on the monk shell. Going by the size of the mic it should easily fit on to the monk shell.

Hello, just received my Monk+.
Did a some tests with my ipod classic and to my taste, I prefer by far, the sound of the original monks.
Tested with songs from Fleetwood Mac Rumours that to my opinion sounds great.
I tried with a few layers of foam as suggested, but found that it helps the bass but cut the midrange and the highs.
I'm not telling that they are not good. They sound good but to my taste, they lack some bass.
Is there a way to buy the originals ? I would like to have some spares.
Or can someone advise me on something else that sounds exactly like the original ones that is affordable ?
I am not a audiophile at all but i know the sound I like.
I know it is also just a question of preference.

you guys probably aren't old enough or have been on the thread long enough to remember the old Sennheiser MX400/500, and I'm pretty sure based on what I'm hearing, its the SAME cans...

those were at the time, like the KSC-35 the value leaders, but most people did not like the fit.

The size, shape, and sound is so similar, I only can reckon that this chinese company OEM'd for Sennheiser, and now are producing them as Senn isn't.

I had the MX400 and they were really good, although they were too big for my tiny ears. When I looked at the Monk, I immediately thought of them, as the shape is the same.

Once I get the Monk+, I will comment on the sound, but them having the same form factor is not unusual, as there were many manufacturers who had that form factor.

iPod classic is not enough to drive the new monks to their best imo. Did you try amping it?

I like the full foam + ring combo myself

I did some testing with my monk plus with foams and rings today and enjoyed the donut foams the best. I used to run full foams with my original monks to tame the treble a bit but since the monk plus seems to alleviate that already due to the more neutral tuning, donut foams work nice to create that seal for more bass yet not detract too much in other areas. If anything for some genres it's almost bass heavy (which I never thought I'd be adverse to)- but works great for edm and other bass heavy genres.

What´s funny, I get the best sound with the monks when I load my X7 with lossless files, which I produce by ripping with bit accuracy from ordinary cd´s using this app  http://sbooth.org/Rip/

Sounds even better than HighRes.
