ye making iem with monk makes them sound worse, it seems to sound best with open sound. although if you make iem with monk with back driver it might sound good. i wanted to make an iem with ve monk, to move driver to earbud iem but copper cable broke off. in that one sound would go from both sides to iem. the best sound i got out of it is when back is open. i superglued the iem cable to rim of earbud and its very good, the only it may come off if you break the cable. but its how earbuds are, you wont get any isolation with them. best you will get if you use foam, improves bass but seems to veil resolution. the bass on ve monk is not very good but for 8 euro good enough

guys, do these type of "earbud silicon tips" fit the ve monks?
will it improve the fitting/seal?

Someone tried these a while back in the thread and didn't like them.  If I recall, they said it ruined the sound stage and overall sound signature was ruined.  I'm thinking this was discussed a couple months ago.  Try a search of this thread to get the exact details of what the guy experienced.

Is Monk Plus brighter sounding compared to the Monk?

I didn't manage to buy the plus version before it was sold out.

What do you guys mean when you say technically v musically?

technical means that it can bring out the details and sound cold which compromise on musicality lol
monk plus sounds brighter and technical
monk is more organic and musical.

I don't think they're any brighter.  You aren't really missing anything not having the Monk+ IMO.  I'm not noticing any real differences (that I can hear anyway).  I've gone back and forth, volume matched, and if the differences are there, then they are mild to me at least.  I'm 3 days into listening and comparing between the new and the old and at this point could honestly say the only way I can tell them apart is by the new build of the Monk+.  I know other say they are hearing differences, but I'm just not hearing it which is good for me because I enjoyed the original Monks.  We all hear things differently and my hearing is what it use to be either so this could affecting things.

As for the V, I think folks may be referring to V shaped sound which means the highs and lows are more pronounced and the mids are recessed.  Someone feel free to chime in if they are meaning something else for V.
