I recently made a post about speakers, this is the thread https://www.head-fi.org/threads/hel...ons-about-my-5-1-system-i-just-bought.948006/
I solved my issue. But now i need a little bit of help from someone who knows about Upmixing Stereo to 5.1. The speakers in question are https://content.ekatalog.biz/katalog/216660123/PA_SW-HF5.pdf and this is the backside https://0.allegroimg.com/s1024/0c6637/e3306a674e74ab92625952974550
Now i can't use DVD for true 5.1 because i don't have any sockets on my TV for those, or a proper a Amplifier to split them into HDMI or Optical.
The system has Dolby and DTS included. Now i am using a PS4, and there are three settings to choose from. Linear PCM, Bitstream Dolby, Bitstream DTS.
Linear PCM uses Stereo as my output because i use the game mode setting with a 3.5mm to my TV and it is the raw sound data from the game, as in, the game chooses how is encoded, Stereo, 5.1, 7.1, etc with no compression. Since it's a 3.5mm jacket, it's always Stereo. And from testing stuff out, it has done pretty good job separating the channels, rear, back, center, etc. I can hear what is in front of me and what is behind me from testing TLOU2, which has fantastic audio work. However if i switch to Dolby or DTS, the PS4 switches to Surround.

So is it better to Upmix from Stereo to 5.1, or Surround to 5.1, considering my AMP has Dolby and DTS, so using Dolby or DTS on PS4 might be better or not? Since if i select Dolby or DTS, i can change the setting in-games to use 5.1, such as with TLOU2.

Or is it better to just leave it at Linear PCM (Stereo), and let the AMP do its thing?

Also, which is considered better. Dolby or DTS? I know that my old Home Theater had Dolby Pro Logic II which could use Stereo to 5.1 upmixing or for games that supported it, or movies. Some say DTS, apparently.
