It honestly looks legit. It’s how it should be. But why didn’t they publicise it if it’s a new variant? And it’s a pity that yours is spoilt. But how do they sound?

Did very little listening with them due to the issue with left side, however I didn't come off too impressed. Bass was probably most impressive in terms of quick decay, no mid-bass bleed and very good sub-bass extension. Treble seems well extended as well but I didn't listen to any treble-heavy tracks. Mids were dissapointing, they have the same dark/hollow profile I hear on my 1MORE E1008 earbuds. I'd say ATH-WP900 is a step up over the triple-driver in every way, however please take my feedback with a grain of salt considering the circumstances.

Its seems original to me.

Channel imbalance? What dac are u using?
Left side is louder, bass is very bad there especially- sounds like it's cracking/ripping/farting. I tried swapping with aftermarket cable, same results. Tried with few different sources as well including, iPod Classic and L&P W2.

Sorry to hear.

Maybe it's a faulty unit. Are you going to purchase again?
Not sure tbh, it was a little duller and darker than what I expected it to sound.

Yeah, its not a clarity profile headphone, but gives some special touch to the music if u give them an opportunity.
Its more or less the same profile of nighhawks, and ur brain has to accommodate to them.
Anyways if u dont usually listen edm, electro or rap music (movies and games works nice on them) maybe is not what u are looking for.

Feel free to share ur music taste, maybe we could give some recommendations 😉

They definetly didn't get a proper opportunity, hopefully I'll get to hear them again properly.

Never heard the Nighthawks but they certainly have a reputation for being dark. I do listen to a fair share of hip-hop and electronic among other genres. Can appreciate a dark sig as well- from IEM world listened heavily to Senn's IE80 over the ears, and recently picked up HarmonicDyne P.D.1 which are quite dark as well.

Beyerdynamic Aventho Wired, another recent acquisition which is an on-ear headphone but has a similar small/portable profile as Triple Driver, sound great with hip-hop/electronic yet they don't sound dark to me.

I appreciate your help. Not really dying for another headphone but if there are recommendations, would be great to review them :beerchug:

For closed backs on that price... Maybe the 1060c on planars. V-moda could be nice as well.

Recently I get the sony z7 mk2, Im so happy with that 70mm driver, amazing soundstage, only lacks on some vibrations on subbass (could fix with mods). But they are in other price step

Can you please tell which one XINHS cable you can recommend for better sound quality? Not too expensive if it possible. Thank you.
Doesnt matter, cables dont change the sound unless the transducer itself is sensitive to different resistances where it can have some FR changes.
And that is also assuming the cables measures differently.

Pick one based on the aesthetics.

I have repeatedly heard the suggestion that silver cables brighter (neutral and clean) and copper warmer (richer and thicker). I understand that the cable cannot add anything, which means that the silver cable transmits lower frequencies worse, and the copper cable transmits upper frequencies worse. Is this delusion or truth?
And if true, is the silver + copper mixed cable the best combination or is it graphene? Other combination?
Thank you.

Its placebo.

The only difference a cable can make is due to the differing resistance, but even that is only affecting sensitive iems. Headphones I very much doubt will have the same issue since generally they arent as sensitive as iems.
