Hey guys!

I'm really stuck deciding between these two TWS earbuds(both same price), and I'd love your help in this case. What's your opinion on the 1More EVO vs the Galaxy Buds 2?

Aside from sound, comfort is also very important to me. My previous earbuds were the Creative Outlier Air V3, but they always made my outer ear very uncomfortable after roughly 30 minutes, so I'm looking for something that's more comfortable. Also, I do have a Samsung phone, so I could use the Samsung Scalable Codec with the Galaxy Buds 2, but not sure how much better that is than SBC.

EVO has LDAC support and sounds good on Android devices(Samsung included). Fit was good, but wasn't a fan of the look.

SSC sounds good also on Samsung devices. Personally I am a fan of AKG tuning on Buds series and damn convenient if you have multiple Samsung devices. That said, Samsung buds(Pro, Buds2, Buds2 Pro) all gave me ear pain and itchiness after wearing them even with Spinfit tips. Some people have no issues, so take that as what you will. :)

Would the 1more Evo TWS codec work with a DAP such as Onkyo DPx1A? If not, is Bluetooth just about as good fidelity-wise? It uses Android, and this would be my first foray into wireless.
1more supports LDAC / AAC / SBC. DPx1A says it supports SBC / APTX. While sbc is the standard bluetooth codec, it is inferior. Unless you really need to go wireless, wired would be preferred way to go with DAPs.

I got the 1more Evo, direct from 1more on eBay USA for $80, confirmed it is completely authentic.

My impressions of it with the stock ear tips are that it is hyper-resolving and hot especially on the top, quite grainy and fatiguing. A v-shaped sound with fairly hollow mids. I had to dial in a bunch of mid-range on the EQ and slightly bring down the sub bass, and drastically reduced the highs above around 8KHZ. Also the one more app was not compatible with the device I wanted to use it with, which is my DAP. That is what I use for music, due to the hard drive capacity and ability to get it off of my phone and all of its notification sounds that I get.

But my larger issues center around build practicality. The these IEMs are too large for my ears, and then the stock tips are all too small to hold it in, even including the largest size, so they would just randomly fall out of my ears and have no potential for lodging in further, due to the size being quite larger than my ear canal.

So today I tried them with foam ear tips from Comply, the basic type without wax coating. I was highly impressed with how much the sound improved! As expected it toned down the hot treble by a very nice amount, and pleasantly it also brought the mids and the mid bass more forward and slowed everything down a bit. Unfortunately however, this also is impractical. The foam tips barely stay on the extremely shallow nozzle opening so would fall off, even though it is a tight fit. And even more so is the deal breaker - there is absolutely zero way to fit these IEMs in the charging case which is proprietary if you're using foam tips, even though they are the small size, it's completely impossible to close the lid or to get the iEMs to make contact with the charger. At this point I'm at a loss for what to do. And removing the tips every use is also not practical, which would wear things out quickly.

Paging
@801evan maybe you have any suggestions
