1964 Ears Adel IEMs

This sounds bogus to me. Why would 64Audio take the time to build him a CIEM only to tell him it won't fit? They would know that the moment they received his ear impressions.

I believe the member bought a second hand pair of A12's off here, then sent them with his ear impression to be re-shelled only to be told his ears were too small for the A12 model once they had been received at 64 Audio.

That's correct, it was a reshell. So this would be a reshell of a reshell that never happened. :)

Ah, ok.

From my experience, there is nothing especially large about the U/A12. If you have average size ears, like me, you should be fine. Only worry if you're on the extremely small size.

I got the U6 during Black Friday. I love these things. My favorite listening experience.

What cable would you all recommend that wouldn't change the sig, but would open up the sound stage and add clarity? I love them, but can't help but think they could be better...as with anything, I guess. :)

I was also considering upgrading my Mojo to the Hugo 2. I also use it with the ifi Black Label.

By the way, seems there are two 64 Audio threads. Any idea why they're both still active? I don't want to double post. hehe

I'd ask on the new thread, which is more active than this one. Perhaps others can give you recommendations there.

an unpopular opinion...

met up with a local head-fier, had the opportunity to compare my U8 (m15) with his U12 (m15) and U12t (m20) i feel that 64 audio should have kept the non-tia models or at least tune the tia models to be more like the older Us or N8s. Using the zx300 single ended and the “premium cable” on all three, i much preferred the non tia models over the U12t. Yes, U12t is more spacious, revealing and detailed but imh(unpopular)o, i found the non tia models to be more coherent, and dare i say, more balanced. i am prolly more treble adverse than many here (tho ve8’s treble is beautiful to me), i just find the compromises downstream to be too much for me.

That doesn't surprise me. I haven't heard the U12t, but I felt the U12 was practically perfect, and didn't need brighter highs.

Not sure about your budget, since high end cables are usually priced between $500 and $2k, but either Effect Audio Lionheart or DITA Truth Cu pair up very nicely with U18 and at the low end of that price range.

So after a time spending with some different cables, effect audio lionheart, dita truth cu and a forza audio cable, I find the stock cable still the best fit out of all of them for my A18's.

The best fit, as in, the most flexible etc., or sounding the best?
