Hi
I'm looking for a pair of headphones for around 150$. My source is cowon s9 unamped.
I don't care they are closed or open, my top priority is sound quality
I mostly listen to japanese pop, rock, dance...

Thanks in advance :)

840 or m50 instantly spring to mind. If you got a couple more bucks and decide to get an amp in the near future, HD595 ain't too shabby either.

Consider the Alessandro MS-1 as well.

SRH750DJ sounds even better then SRH840 when unamped. plus it's cheaper :)

But not as sturdy - mine are in for repair ATM (Shure sent me an email to confirm - they're good like that).

dbi Pro-700/705's, if you manage to locate them used on eBay - $40-$50 a pop. Well worth it, LOVE the SQ, and the bass is solid & makes me really happy.
