yeah, same here. when i first saw volume 2 with some friends, i pretty much yelled "ohhhh **** her poor breasts
frown.gif
" during the part with the shotgun blast to the chest. and pretty much every part of both movies with good music. great soundtracks. loved the one song playing when beatrix faced off o-ren in the snow.

also, i love gruesome movies. i don't cringe, i just laugh and scream "sweet black jesus i love this part" normally. my favorite part was in friday the 13th 4, where jason impales the guy in the shower, that was classic. and in one of the nightmare on elm street movies, where the kid gets sucked into his bed by freddie and spit out as guts all over the room.

i love horror movies. they're perfect date/conversation movies and fun to laugh at. "the ring" absolutely terrified most of my friends, and i made jokes about samara being "downright sexy", all wet and stuff.

edit: ok, i admit that i was on the edge of my seat when i watched the exorcist.

also, did anyone remember that one part in the exorcist 3, where the possessed guy pinned the priest up against the ceiling with his mind, and ripped all of his limbs off one by one, leaving nothing but a limbless corpse? hollllyyy shiiiit.

Actually for me right before that, when Neo screams "Trinity!... Help!..." and then the agent fires several bullets and in slow motion you see Neo trying to avoid them. Those special effects alone and the sound effects made me go H*** S*****!!

Boy all the clips in the link, and the ones mentioned here are pretty much it. I haven't seen some of the horror movies mentioned though, and probably won't.

One HS moment for me was early in The Ring, when the mother of the dead girl is speaking to Naomi Watts saying that she had seen her daughter's face after her death. Then the movie shrieks with a horrible dissonant sound, and at the same time, for a brief moment shows the daughter as she was after her death, kind of in a closet, her face all disfigured in the most horrible expression. That moment alone H***** SH*****!!!! caved a hole in my stomach like no other movie other than The Exorcist had done when I watched it just as a little kid.

I think throughout the movie Harold and Maude I was pretty much HOLY SH** the entire time... but I think for different reasons.

I know its a classic, but that movie bothered me.

Oooooooooo, I have a term paper for my film class that is due a week from this Thursday. It's comparing Harold and Maude and the original Lolita (both about social standards and vast age differences in relationships, among other things of course)

Nice list, I recognised all of the "holy crap" moments.

To add some that I think are of equal quality:

Boondock Saints: The assasination of Yakavetta in the court.
The last 15 minutes of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
City of God, where Zé Pequeno makes the little kid choose which kid of two to shoot.
The Usual Suspects, the ending scene.
The Shining, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy".
Casino, the torture scene with the popping eye.
Fallen, the ending.
Fight Club - where the bar's owner comes in to check what's going on in the basement.

Good one. I was beside myself during that scene, and after seeing the movie multiple times now, it still causes tear-inducing laughter bookended by shock and repulsion. Those two dudes truly 'took one for the team' in the name of comedy and entertainment. They raised the bar with that sequence. Absolute classic. Once you see it, you can't 'unsee' it - that's for certain.

revolting, immature, rude... absolutely hilarious.

the first time i watched it, i was kind of weirded out at first. then i started laughing when i heard the term "hand party". then i pretty much started crying, it was great. what both of those men do for comedy... especially sacha, he must be at least a bit homosexual to do all of the stuff he does.
