OK, I have one source which is an SB3 and 2 amps - 1 feeding the speakers and 1 feeding the headphones. If it is late I want to use the headphones but during the day I use the speakers so:

What is the best way to switch between the 2? Is it just a simple case of moving the interconnects or is there some sort of switch I can get?

Thanks for any help/advice

Any of the amplifiers having line-out? If so, then pipe it into the second amplifier.
If not, consider adding a pre-amplifier or split-box.

One of the easiest solutions would be:

Which amps do you have? At least one of them probably has a loop out.

If you have some cash to spare I think a pre-amp would be your best route. I've seen some really good deals for Parasound pre-amps on Audiogon. They're built like a tank and better than most pre-amplifiers for double the price.

I'd personally use a pair of good quality RCA splitters (such as Audioquest) for the time being. You can step up to a high quality switch-box if you end up adding more equipment down the line.
