1 $ for Hisound’s new released ROCOO player???

Got my RoCoo P today! So excited. Because of some problems with shipping and getting my information,  HiSound included a pair of HiPhone 4 IEM's along with the PAA-1s that come standard with the RoCoo P.  Haven't had a chance to listen to them critically yet.

Anyways, I charged the RoCoo up to full capacity after about 2 1/2 hours and loaded it up with some FLAC.

Out of the box, I can definitely tell a difference between the RoCoo and my iPhone 4 soundstage wise.  On live tracks, I feel as though I'm positioned between the crowed and the vocalist with the RoCoo.  I hear the crowed blaring right behind me as Dave Matthews chimes in, clear and crisp.  When listening to the iPhone 4, i feel slightly more cramped, like I'm in the middle of the crowd and Dave is stuck there with me.  Less instrument seperation and not quite as wide of a presentation with the iPhone, I would say.  One thing that I found interested is that some instruments come out through the left channel on the RoCoo that come out the right channel on the iPhone 4.  I actually prefer the leftword sound, but that is completely subjective.  Just something to keep in mind, I guess.

I read some posts saying that people heard significant improvement in the extension of the highs after the RoCoo had burned in, so I'll see how that goes after some play time.

Overall, I'm very happy with the RoCoo.  Thanks to Jack for getting everything squared away for me.

Oh and on a side note, I used ATH M50s to do my short comparison.

Future Shop sent me the wrong MicroSD card. It's a Class 10 instead of Class 6, but it works just fine.

It's a Lexar 16GB Class 10 MicroSD card.

Download mp3tag. Remove the FLAC v3.2 tags and keep the v3.1. You can do this by going into the options/tools tab and selecting the remove v3.2 tags. Make sure you have read all tags checked as well. Once you have done this apply the settings. Drag your library to the directory. Select remove all tags. After all tags have been removed select undo changes. This will automatically restore all v3.1 tags (FLAC) and will not restore the v3.2 tags. This works like a charm for me. Good luck.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, I have tried your sudjestion already without success, its a bit weird, there was a flac file loaded on the player when I received it which worked fine, I copied this to my hard drive and deleted off the player in order to make room, I have now copied the same file back which now refuses to play! I have tried dcopying with a different pc also but still no joy.

Okay.. got it sorted, just set mp3tag up wrong, you dont want it to say id3v2 in the info.. but still don't explain why the shipped mp3 no longer works, oh well not worry about it,
So down to impression's and all that...
tested with Jays Q-Jays and as Source through UCD180 mono on mission 732
comparing to portable players ipod nano sony nwz-e464b and a cheap technica mpv410h3001266uk
ipod grainy
sony over colored
technica... Cheap but cheerful
Rocoo-P  lively presence detailed and accurate, great seperation, delicately well presented, only a little colored here and there which would suit most people,
it's really nice to hear this kind of exceptional clarity come from compressed media on headphones,
certainly the best ive heard from a device this size,
close your eyes and the headphones are gone,
As a source more colored, still good, but i'm comparing to a desktop konnect6
menu's a bit klunky, someone said it would be nice to return to the same folder when in folder play and i agree, and the double click could work better
side note
I swear it sounded better before I charged it, maybee hk electricity sounds nicer than uk, anybody want to partake in an experiment lol ?

So you got it working then? Nice. Yes that is what I was telling you, you want to remove the 3v2 tags with idtag. After that all your tracks should work fine. But if you have tags with only v3.2 tags it may work but I could be wrong about this. It seems to be an issue when you have both v3.1 and v3.2 in the same tag.
