I always assumed the front of the video file name means the fansub group or something

It does. In this case Coalgirls takes the sub script from another team release (while giving credit), then remuxes everything from a (typically) BR source. So it is technically "their" release.

What happened to their subs in ep. 3? I downloaded a version 2 of episode 3 so maybe it got fixed in that revision.


Also, where do you guys suggest to learn Japanese? I originally wanted to learn Mandarin since I wanted to some day go to HK or China and check out the stem cell therapy places there, but it seems that Japan has more of a research-oriented environment which is what I'm really interested in.

I think you'll like it. The bass head in your might prefer the LCD2 though.
