So I was listening to this banger when I noticed the lyrics aside from "煙草" (cigarette/tobacco) reading as "tabako" which is pretty straightforward, "運命" (fate/destiny) had "sadame" instead of the more common "unmei". As it turns out "sadame" is just a more "poetic" reading used in literature or songs, but one would have to be a bit weird or a chuuni to use it in real life.

Now I wanna hear an Aina Suzuki cover of Kita Sakaba

New season, anything good?

So the recent 6800XT upgrade re-ignited my enthusiasm for PC's. My 3770k is delidded now with Liquid Metal between the die and IHS, lapped it on a whetstone too.

Before: 4.2GHz @ 100C
After: 4.5GHz @ 68C (1.3V ish, just takes way more voltage to go up 100MHz it wasn't worth it, I need this thing to survive hahaha)

I got some really cheap DDR3 RAM on eBay. I was running DDR3 1600 CL9 but now I'm on DDR3 2000 CL9, my memory controller seems to struggle with 4x4GB sticks but now I have 16GB RAM wooooooo. (I can't even do the XMP profile of 2133 CL10 it was rated at)

I also did a friends' 8700k, massive improvement from 4.1GHz all core to a very comfortable 4.8GHz, most loads only take it to the 70C mark if that.

Some of the fear of delidding must have rubbed off onto me I have no idea why I was so afraid to do this earlier. I kinda sorta forgot that I can repair electronics and I work on cars.....yeah it turned out to be a piece of cake lol.

Not sure about good, but I will try to follow ToniKawa S2 at the very least, then the final final part of Shingeki no Kyojin. Magus Bride S2, Smartphone in another world S2, Oshi no Ko, Isekai cheat, and ooh there's a new season of KonoSuba

I've never gone down that road but have wanted to, but my overclocking days are mostly behind me. Sounds like you got some great results. It's wild that 10 years on from your CPU and most cpus STILL hate when you use all the ram slots. It was kind of a miracle that my 3930K was able to run at a 4.6ghz OC with all 8 memory slots populated. I have a 5800X system now with all 4 populated and it will NOT run full speed (4233) but I can run slower 3600/3800 memory speeds with insanely low timings so the net gain is probably similar.

@Yuusha ga Shinda! ep02: The anime adaptation is here and it's glorious. Just a man of culture keeping it real.

@ToniKawa S2 ep02: awww

@Uramichi Oniisan ep06: /r/funnyandsad

Finished Kimetsu no Yaiba S1, of all the battle shounens, this is one of them. Pretty hype

And Chainsaw Man too, it's aight

Wow, you really dug deep to find that post. ^_^
I watched 2 episodes before responding, I did not ignore you. For better or for worse, it felt like the manga. :sweat_smile:

Kimetsu no yaba bothers me with when and how often they decide to drop jokes. It often kills the mood for me. I think it had what it takes to be a 100% serious and epic story. Instead, it constantly turns into dumb and dumber and dumberer go on an adventure. Feels like lost potential to me and my onion cutting ninja friends.

Poor comedic timing has killed many a movie/anime/book for me. It's always a bummer when something seems like it could have been so good if the creator was actually funny or didn't try so hard to be.

I've been enjoying Yuusha ga Shinda, glad the manga got an anime.

The production values don't exactly look great, but it actually kinda works for the story/derpiness :D.

When will we get an anime for the Putin Isekai manga?

So I might be going to Japan at the end of the year. One of my besties is getting married (honeymoon in Japan) and it's been a lifelong dream of mine to re-enact this scene from the Dark Knight lol. Am I the type of person to drop 5 grand just to nod at someone in a cafe? Come hell or high water...

I don't think I can stay for very long at all, maybe a week-ish I want to give them some alone time too, but we're trying to time it so we can catch Comiket. So if any of y'all need a super obscure doujin music CD or something lemme know (and I'll ask again when plans are a lock+closer to the event). Happy to ship especially if signed or just rip (free if it's cheap, don't mind expanding the collection). Jeez do they even do music at Comiket still?

IIRC most of the smaller indie music artists participate at M3 instead of Comiket.

Dead Mount Death Play is worth checking out this season. Does seem quite interesting for the first few episodes, but we'll see how it plays out.

And if you're looking for something comedic and unserious with a bit of action, I would recommend Mashle. Kind of like playing Hogwarts Legacy, but with a pure strength build instead of waving your wand.

I'm about 200 chapters into Domestic Girlfriend what a ride ahahah. Has to be one of my favourites now, it has a banger of an OP too.

It's a nice contrast to other series where they spend a hundred episodes trying to confess and they're stuck in high school forever. Time moves at a reasonable pace in Domestic Girlfriend.

I rescued a waifu (6800XT) from a Cambodian crypto mining operation. USD350 which I think is fair, finally some progression in terms of performance per dollar huh? Coming from a 1070 it's a 150% increase in performance. I don't have a case with a side window so I settled for an MSI and let a friend have this one. (the cooler performs like 10C worse than the typical AIB models, prolly needs a repasting too)

Beautiful card, if I ever go hard out on a PC I'll definitely source something similar in the future. Wonder how badly my 3770K will bottleneck it...oh god it's 10 years old..

I don't want to deal with the heat so I think I'll undervolt/clock aggressively to vaguely match the power draw of my previous card. Should still net a nice ~100% perf increase.

That's the cutest GPU I've ever seen. That's a solid new way to market GPU's. Just make waifu versions of several popular anime waifus. Hahaha.

I personally prefer the limited edition Gundam graphics cards that Asus put out for some of the RTX 3000-series. Although they don't look as custom and good as this one though.
