Ugh what a day.

Last night the alternator for the Supra died while my dad was driving it home, it was running on battery power ONLY and it literally ran out of charge as he was on the driveway waiting for our gate to open. XD

So that pretty much annihilated the batteries' charge. The next morning (today) he had the cojones to drive it ~1km to our mechanic....and he actually made it there (the battery promptly died as I arrived moments after...expecting to see the car on the side of the road broken down =P).

I went and picked up an aftermarket alternator only to find they didn't accept cold hard cash at the store, which means I had to drive home to grab my card to finally make the purchase.

Ah well she's running fine now. The original alternator is 20 years old at this point so it was bound to happen sooner or later (especially with an aftermarket sound system...). It was a Christmas miracle the car made it home and to the mechanic's just fine, I guess it's all my positive karma for driving nicely (letting people cut in and such, Sydney drivers tend to be really mean).

I better start looking for a replacement battery...
