New AKG K545 looks interesting. Better than the 1R and Momentums to some apparently.

I never liked the 1R. It sounds canny/hollow and the upper midrange's timbre is weird.

Yup, 3TB external driv completely full over here. I built an HTPC for my TV last summer. Didn't bother with XBMC though since 10-bit playback either just didn't work, or it was choppy. MPC-HC with madVR works excellently though.

Ah yeah I might go the straight HTPC rout too, still trying to decide.

To my ears, fantastic. They were supposed to be temporary but I just cant' give them up. They are 4ohm speakers being fed by an amp that does ~360 W per channel at 4ohm.

Well, "anal" was how students shortened "ANaliza matematyczna i Algebra Liniowa" (mathematical analysis and linear algebra, of course - as one subject) here. So I guess students everywhere like to give quirky names to their classes. Like ECIUL (or e-ciul) for Elementy Cyfrowe I Układy Logiczne (logic circuits and digital elements, or something like that), where "ciul" is a Polish slang word for cretin (and I don't have to explain "e-" ).
