I was being sarcastic.

I have no clue how anyone can justify purchasing a $200+ keyboard that does not have any awesome features besides being mechanic. You can get a mechanic one for under $100. Are the $200 one twice as mechanic? I don't get it and I'm not sure if i want to get it.

But I guess it's the same thing with any other enthusiast hobby. Diminishing returns hit super hard.

Because Topre has patented technology for their switches, and because they can charge over $200. They're basically the only switches that use a capacitive activation. XD
Oh, and it's designed in Japan. Brownie points for that.

Interestingly enough, only the plunger, spring, and PCB topology are patented; the rubber domes that are used in the actual keyboards are not. I've heard that the magic of Topre keys are in the dome, which brings the "snap" to the typing experience that no other mechanical keyboard offers. No one who has felt a Topre switch says it compares to normal MX switches, or any other mechanical keyboard for that matter.

For a regular Cherry MX switch keyboard, I wouldn't consider anything over $150 really. This Corsair Vengeance K90 is freaking $150, and it doesn't feel right to me. The MX Reds feel kind of mushy when bottomed out, which isn't uncommon for typists to say (same with the MX Blacks actually, but they were stiffer so it didn't feel quite as "cheap"), the macro keys and keys above the arrow keys are all mushy gross membrane, the keyboard itself is massive, the LEDs are blue and burn my eyeballs in dim lighting, the brushed metal finish is impossibru to clean, the cable doesn't have any routing options, and the cable is stiffer than a woman's braided hair coated in hair spray. I don't know why anyone would pay the full price for this keyboard....I honestly wouldn't pay more than $80 for this. :|

Well if you're not keen on the DIY and soldering, I'd just forego it altogether.

That's the Topre Heaven, would take that over the Realforce considering the difference in price, even the Filco I mentioned is better. Also cheaper, but the Heaven is really well built when I had it.

Only ones that had a more rigid body would be the Duckys, but I heard it's rather hard to get decent customer service over there.

If you can find a Das Ultimate Model M though... Snag it up. Noone owns those here but they are amazing

Mechy has dealt with Ducky before and the customer service seems pretty meh.

Choosing switches has never been a problem to me, as I love black XD

MX Black felt okay to me. It still carried the same kind of mushy feeling as the MX Reds though for typing.

Listening to POP|CULTURE 2 right now and liking it. I remember POP|CULTURE not being too well received back in the day so this is nice from Alstroemeria.

ANIME DISCUSSION TIME

Question1: What are your anime/manga guilty pleasures? This could be a series that you know you shouldn't love but do anyway for odd reasons.

Question2: What are the series you constantly go back to and rewatch/re-read?


My anime guilty pleasures would be Akane Iro ni Somaru Saka, Chobits, Oreimo (yes , I can feel the hate already), Mayo Chiki, Full Moon wo Saga****e, Nana to Kaoru, Sakamichi no Apollon, and a lot of obscure manga.

I constantly re-watch Code Geass because its fricking amazing, re-read Bitter Virgin, Gundam Seed and have seen Akane Iro a few times...lol

1) Harem comedy's.

2) I don't have any time but I'd generally rewatch classics that have some story or emotional depth or complexity. I'd rewatch bebop, eva, Gundam seed, an a number of others, but I can't even keep up with 2 new shows.

bowei006 image? I tried google images but could only see a very slight resemblance to shin sekai yori images with the main differences being the eyes and generally elongated faces, I had found. But that show has been on my watchlist for forever and I keep forgetting about it.

Does the bottom contain an image for Rogue? That would kinda make sense then. Still, it would seem they have no idea what the word "exclusive" means. But Unity is exclusive to current gen consoles and rogue is exclusive to last gen.

I was looking at that MAL graph site yesterday, says I watched 227 episodes of anime the past 3 weeks. That's 11 per day.... not sure how that works when I avg 3-4 most of the time, but whatever.

Installed my dishwasher yesterday too, took a lot longer than I expected and it mutilated my arm, all that stamped steel on the bottom + slidding your arm in a small gap to adjust the feet/level it. I showed 3 people and they all asked if I was a cutter D:
