Is it worth getting a 128 GB thumb drive? I probably won't use 7/8 of that storage 99% of the time I use it. XD

 
its gotta be high speed if you're gonna get 128GB
imagine waiting hours to copy fullHD vids from your friend's computer.....
Check online benchmarks before getting any storage (unless you're just gonna store HW on it.)

I'll probably get the 64 GB one and wait around for other Black Friday deals. I was thinking of getting a USB 3.0 one and then I figured it's probably not useful for a thumb drive as opposed to an external hard drive.

I actually like my usb3 thumb drive more than any external HDD I've ever owned.
its more rugged, way smaller and faster.

Speeds of USB3 drives can vary anywhere between a few MB/s to a few hundred.

speed test of my Toshiba EXii: (this is the cheaper variation of the EXii with lower write speeds)

Ugh, I'm still quite full from yesterday's fo2 wo1 (火鍋 hot pot) and now I'm going out for lunch with the family.

That's a lot of money for something you won't even really use.

Hot Pot is just the biggest mess of a meal ever. Tastes really good though!

At that price, better get two 64 GB thumb drives. Heck just buy one 64 GB it's more than enough for a thumb drive.

Also, imagine losing a 128 GB thumb drive.

I just couldn't.

BTW, I'm working on a manga project. The sketches for page 1, 2 and the cover for chapter 1 are done. Page 3 is almost complete. I'll be doing 1 page per week though I might try 2 or 3 pages per week.

And no I wouldn't be concerned about losing the thumb drive. The last time I lost one was 13 years ago in 5th grade. LOL

Get USB3. No doubt.
Even my flash drive that has 45mbps write and 70mbps read feels slow...
