    Best DAC from $1500 to $2500 (or so) Can anything beat the Eastern Electric Minimax?

    I currently have an eastern electric minimax dace with a mullard tube in it as well has a musical fidelity v-link asynchronous usb->spdif feeding it.  From what I've read the EE seems like a giant killer (especially with the MF v-link feeding it).  My question is, how much would I have to spend...

    Wyred4Sound DACs and OSX Mavericks (Just say NO for now...)

    Warning--   Installed OSX Mavericks this week, and it won't communicate with my Wyred4Sound DAC 2.  Contacted Wyred4Sound, they don't have a driver yet for Mavericks.     They said it won't be too long, but for now, my DAC2 is a paperweight.

    W4S DAC-2 Versus PS Audio Digital Link III w/Cullen Stage 4 Mods

    Hi,   Basically, would it be an upgrade from the PS Audio DL III (Stage IV) to the DAC2?  I do not use the USB and I only use it with my Squeezebox Touch for HD 24/96-192 tracks.   Also, I know the DL III upsamples but does the DAC2 do native with 24/96 and 24/192?   Thanks so much...

      what is the best DAC under 1000$?   many people say that unlike amp's...DAC are not worth more then -insert $ here- because you cannot tell the difference...is that true?   thank you!

    6 moons gave this a great review.  Fully balanced and a pre-amp too.  I'd love to see a shootout between all these pre-amp DAC's coming out and the Arcam rDac too.  6 Moons mentioned 3 more USB DAC's coming out too.  Way too many choices.   K
