Guangzhou HiFi Headphone & Digital Audio Expo is the first exhibition in China that features headphone and digital audio. In September 2014, the very first session of this expo achieved great success and attracted many visitors who gave consistent praise. This year, it’s also the second time for FiiO to attend this expo, by which we can take the chance to listen to the customers’ voice and let more customers get a better understanding of FiiO.
This autumn is a golden harvest season for FiiO—we will bring 6 new models to the press conference:

1.    X7---FiiO’s first android-based lossless digital music player
2.    K5---Desktop docking amplifier (Best companion for FiiO players)
3.    A1---Portable Amplifier (The 4th generation of FiiO's compact amplifiers)
4.    Q1---Portable headphone amp & DAC (A shot of pure digital goodness)
5.    K1—Portable headphone amp & DAC(Smaller and better for less)
6.    M3—Portable music player (Quality Made in China)

Note:   The worldwide release date of above new models is yet to be confirmed.

Wait wait, there's going to be a "M3" as well?  And what's with the Q1, K1, and K5. . .any word on their specs?

Can't speak for other models yet, but Q1 is a replacement of E07k (available on 9/15).

This little DAC/amp is quite a little gem.  Not as much power to squeeze out of the amp section, but dac/amp combo in high gain shines!!!  Under $70, >30 hrs of battery life, and works like a charm with Android devices when using HibyMusic app (usb otg is not recognized with default audio apps, but freebie like HibyMusic which supports usb audio drivers - sick pair up!!!).

Drives PM-3 and EL-8C with authority!!!  Will have review soon...

Now, back to a regularly scheduled X7 discussion

If fiio can make the x7 just like Sony zx2 but with a smoother andriod interface then fiio x7 will be a winner! I'm very interested in the msq and Ldac features on the sony zx2.

Looking forward to the fiio x7 and Sony zx2 comparisons.

So, who do I need to bribe to get in on the X7 world tour?!?

Why are you so keen on this?  Based on your already established stance in regards to the X5 2nd Generation you’ll no doubt continue to quantify this latest FiiO DAP against your smartphone and claim to hear no difference.  Most of the comparisons I see drawn right now are against other DAPs, as FiiO made headway as a substitute for the discontinued IPod Classic, evaluating respective sound signatures.

Since the X7 hasn't been released yet, how would anybody know how it's going to sound in comparison to anything?
Is a vitriolic hatred of Apple a prerequisite for participating in the X7 world tour?

Any helpful responses would be greatly appreciated.

Hardly, but do you think the established FiiO sound signature you've already sampled with seeming dissatisfaction, citing the X3 II and X5 II if memory serves, will sound appreciably different with this latest offering?  The X7 offers less memory storage than the previous X5 versions.  That was an attribute for many.

I now recall you agreed the X1 is a bargain, but this is a higher priced item, of course.

I found the sound quality improvements of the X5ii to be marginal, but never have I anywhere written that I was "dissatisfied" with the sound signatures of either the X3ii or X5ii. Please don't make stuff up.

Is their currently an organizer for the X7 world tour, or is that TBD?

I don't believe I have, but your statements convey overall dissatisfaction... don't you think?

I currently own the X1 and X5ii and as much as I like those devices for their large storage capacities, I really do not hear an improvement in sound quality, relative to my iPhone 6. (That's true even when comparing 192/24 on the Fiio units vs down-sampled 44/16 on the iPhone.) I would even say the X1's sound is slightly inferior to that of the iPhone when used with my more sensitive IEMs on account of its amp's higher noise floor.

Have you tried listening to other brands besides FiiO?

So ASpencer, if you're entirely satisfied with your X5ii, why are you considering the X7? I don't see the point you're trying to make here. If Fiio are funding the tour unit and want to be 100% assured of glowing reviews, I get it. Let me know and I'll unsubscribe from this thread (assuming you actually have anything to do with this matter?). Otherwise, I am genuinely interested in participating in the X7 tour.

I've purchased all their previous DAPs, from the X1 onward, and this one offers streaming which I've yet to partake in... so I figured I'd give the new offering a whirl as I consider this a mild hobby.  I travel a lot and bring different DAPs with me since long international flights can be excruciating.  I very much like the ability to change amp cards that Hifiman provides and the X7 is doing something likeminded, although less storage is certainly a debit.  Still, the 200gb cards compensate.

I'm not sure why you're sounding so bellicose.  I was just curious because your other posts convey a consistence stance.

I'm not upset or sending you manifestos, just interacting with civility.  The QPR-1 isn't readily available yet, but have you tried other brands of DAPs such as Hifiman or Astell & Kern?
