Improved Mg
Pros: Well-made nice looking bullet style IEM with a good number of accessories. The tuning is fun and dynamic. Bass is exceptional
Cons: The unique 2.5mm connection will limit 3rd part cable swapping. Larger bullet style may not be comfortable for tiny ears.

I would like to thank Periodic for the review sample, and as we know by now, I tell you about my thoughts on any product without any influence or payment, I do this because it is my pleasure to be doing this. Thank you everyone.
Packaging is well documented, and the Mg comes with a large number of accessories. The units are well made and light weight inside you will find.

Single Flange Tips – Small, Medium, Large

Dual Flange Tips – Small, Medium, Large

Memory Foam Tips – Small, Medium, Large

Protective Travel Case

Gold Plated ¼” TRS Adapter Jack

Gold Plated Dual Mono Airplane Adapter

For me the Periodic Magnesium was comfortable and the seal I got from the stock tips provided good isolation and no uncomfortable presser in my ears. While I never tried the older version, I like the new look of these, and the removable cable is a great addition to the longevity of these earphones. The dual 2.5mm TS connection means it will be a little harder to upgrade your cable, but some older HiFiman cables work well and there are a few on amazon I'm thinking about getting as they will fit a number of my headphones too. It should be noted that as always, I test everything stock and only with the included accessories, this allows me to do the review accurate to the best of my ability and is only fair. Afterwards I will usually try different cables and tips to see what effects they have.
Testing was done primarily on portable units. The Rh Rhodium DAC, the ifi Go Bar and Gryphon, the TRI TK-2, Hidizs AP80 PRO x, S3 PRO S9 PRO and the Beam3 pro.

Music subjections. this sounds good with various types but defiantly shines with pop, rock and EDM

Sound:

Bass: The lower end of the Mg is well refined and has good depth Sub-Bas has good rumble but never strays from a nice, controlled impact. Mid-bass is tight and punchy with good speed and energy. Overall, the Bass has a good texture and details but is by no way a bass cannon just a well-balanced IEM with good bottom end.

Mids: Sound Natural and lower Midrange is warm with a nice rich presentation. Both male and female vocals are well represented and sound very pleasant to me, there is no harshness in the upper mids as they have good texturing and focus.

Treble: Is well controlled with a good energy and just enough Crispness and decent digitals but roll off quickly, The Treble in general is neutral and transparent.

Soundstage: Has good separation and clarity, I found it just a little above average in width and slightly less in depth, but imaging is accurate, and I found it to be nice for some games.

Conclusion:
The new Periodic Mg has some good features and isn't going to cost an arm or leg although it is almost $200, and this space is super competitive. Still, it's a good all-arounder and works great with its natural sounding no fatiguing tuning that is fun to listen to.
